Actually, overall I had an 'off' week. We have an offer on our house and I was all over the place with my emotions. I was happy and definitely grateful that we have an offer after an unusually high numbers of showings, but I wasn't exactly happy with the price we settled on. I realize it's a buyer's market and we are selling in the worst housing market in the history of time, so I'm trying to resign myself to the fact that 'it is what it is'. It's just that knowing "it is what it is" doesn't mean it's easy to take. The evidence of that is in the bowl of chocolates I leave out for buyers to munch on as they view our house.....
It's empty !!!
And, the buyers didn't empty it, I did.
One day it was full.....and about 4 days later it was empty.
I even put a kind of chocolate in the bowl that I don't like so I WOULDN'T eat it!
Riding definitely would have been better for me this week to get those endorphins running through my blood instead of cocoa, butter and sugar.

Due to the bad weather, Rick road the trainer this week and even the fan didn't help with the humid conditions while riding.

Swimming - Rick tries to swim a couple times a week and he's up to just over a 1/2 mile in about 30 minutes. He swims 1.2 miles in the half ironman, so he's working up the distance at a wise pace.
Running - He ran 5 miles yesterday with an average of 10.2 minute miles. He's basically up to running 8 miles and needs to get to 13 miles, so he's edging up there on all legs of the triathlon.
He also purchased a new gadget to help him track his progress in running and biking. It's a Garmin Forerunner 305 with a bike speed and cadence sensor to use with the bike. He really likes it because it tracks speed, distance, cadence on the bike, heartrate, and his whereabouts (it's a GPS unit too).
Tomorrow's a long ride.....about 35-40 miles, but we are also getting our house ready for an inspection so it's a bit of a crazy weekend.I think I need some more chocolate!!!!
Goodluck with the ride. And, what is wrong with cocoa, butter and sugar??
ReplyDeleteWEll, nothing really....and the empty bowl agrees!
