How time flies

It's been a very long time since I posted and there is good reason for this.

My mom had emergency surgery on her carotid artery and I flew to CA to be with her.
Then just 3 weeks later there was a fire where she lives and she was hurt while evacuating. She ended up in the hospital again, so I flew to CA to be with her in the hospital and to help figure out the mess at her home. It's been absolutely crazy....and not crazy in a fun way, but crazy like a nightmare.

On a lighter note, January is right around the corner and that means "training" if we want to do another Triathlon or duathlon. That is the plan, so R is slowly getting back on the spinner and treadmill to gear up for January. I have been spinning, but need to increase my time and get on that treadmill. I'm thinking that a duathlon (bike,run) would be nice to do again. Around here, the duathlons consist of a run-bike-run, so I need to get on that treadmill.....ugh.
