Remember when we had the corner of our wall removed and then were debating on whether we could or should widen and/or heighten the entryway opening?
I thought widening without heightening (doorway on right) would make the doorway short and stocky looking, but after I manipulated a photo of the entryway in photoshop and saw what the entryway would look like short and stocky, it wasn't bad at all and I had GREAT remorse.
This decision was my fault and I would put that in the MASH category!
Thankfully, while I was busy being mad at myself for days for making the wrong decision, our contractor was coming up with an idea to heighten the wall, so the work began to both widen AND heighten the wall and we are SO VERY HAPPY it could be done.
This particular project has been slow but sure and at this point, so long as I have forward motion even if it's weeks in between "motion", that's a good thing.
Here is the sound of PROGRESS!!!!
Cutting of the new beam that would allow us to heighten our wall. This was a great day!
And don't you worry....his arm is still intact.
So here are some pics of the work in progress!
