A little bit of fighting going on....

Well, Rick and I did well painting together.
Millwork...not so much.

On this project, Rick is a 'big picture' guy and although he wants to do it right, he also wants it done.
I want it to be done right, but if getting it perfect (or close to it) takes more time, then I'm willing to take that time NOW, rather than later.

Where millwork is concerned, what you screw up or "low ball" now, you pay for later in wood filling. Since I have been designated the "finisher",  I get very concerned when I see a gap that I have to fix because that means I'm turning a gap into the shape of the millwork with wood filler.  Plopping the wood filler on is no problem....sanding it to the shape it needs to be IS!

So there you have it....our fights.

Rick would call it 'micro-managing'...
I call it "making my job easier later by doing it as perfect as we can NOW".
