Today we went to the auto show. I just have to say I LOVE CARS, but especially exotic, very expensive, European cars. I know, I know.....how does this apply to triathlon training?
Well, we have to get to the triathlon in something don't we?????

First off, we saw this cute, little funky concept car that was elevated on a platform and they wouldn't let us touch it. It's a 2009 Nissan Cube. Small tires, rounded windows, roof & hood and just quirky enough that I could imagine a roof rack with our 2 bikes or a kayak on top. It even comes with optional shag carpet. I think we'll be test driving this puppy when it's on the market sometime in 2009.

Right next to the CUBE was this Nissan sports car. It's pretty impressive I guess. The shiny red paint was nice, but I'm not really into the performance end of it....or the hefty price of close to $100K for a Nissan. I was very tempted to pose like a 'car show girl' in front of this sleek, red sports car, but I didn't even know what kind of car it was, so I thought I would just drape my arm across like it's dislocated or something.
Yes, that's my hand laying on the roof.

The Infinity FX50...nice car and nice ride. We really like this car, but we'd need to put the bikes and kayak on top, so do we really want to scratch it up???? I think NOT.

Okay, so here are the "exotics"!
We can't ignore these AMAZING cars because in my dreams I would be LEAVING the triathlon (and everywhere else) in one of these!!
I didn't get a picture of a Ferrari today, but we musn't leave the Ferrari off this list.

This next picture sets the scene for what you'll see next......my all time #1 dream car.

Here it is...the Maserati Sedan!
Last year, I saw one of these sedans in pearl white stopped at a red light a couple cars ahead of me. I couldn't tell what it was so I followed it through the light and for quite a while until I could see what kind of car it was. The picture below doesn't do it justice, especially in dark green. It's actually the most beautiful, sleek, elegant sedan I've seen. And, yes, the sales guy was about ready to make a running leap and tackle me because I picked up the sign.
If I keep saving my pennies, just maybe...................
