Both R and I decided to forego the Lake Stevens half ironman triathlon this year. Both for different reasons, but now that the triathlon has come and gone, we are so glad we made this decision.
Turns out, it ended up being over 90 degrees on race day (reaching 94 degrees by 2pm).

That is WAY too hot for anyone to do anything for 70.3 miles.
I love it when we make the right decision!!!
