Whoooo Hoooooo....customer service was 1st priority!

Well, it's been a very long 9 months and guess what?I just received a CASH refund for my bike.

Whoooo hoooooo!

I finally had to call the District Manager to see if he had the power or desire to do the right thing. Well, he had some Super Duper bike power because after talking to him on the phone and telling him the choices the bike shop had given me for replacement frames (all older models), I received a call the very next day saying he authorized for me to have my request of a cash refund.
To be honest, I am still shocked because how often does this happen?

I was definitely doing the NEW BIKE DANCE, however I have to admit when they gave me my seat, pedals, handlebars and bottle holder from my old bike in a plastic bag, I felt a little sad.
Five years of riding that bike and it's over.

So onto my next chore....find a new bike.
I am always looking for the best quality for the best price, so finding a new bike won't happen overnight. And, it doesn't help that I know way more about bikes this time around so I will be even more selective than 5 years ago. The biggest lesson I've learned through this ordeal is that bike salespeople tend to sell customers what is in their inventory whether it's the best bike for you or not. I HAVE to do my homework before I get into the store.

So, this is the brand of bike I'd like...a Cervelo. All Cervelos are painted various combinations of red, black and white and 85% of the bikes in a triathlon bike corral are Cervelos.
Many of the 2011 Cervelos are already sold out so I might have to wait for the 2012s to make their debut in a month or so.
I would prefer a 2011 so it has a 'great deal' tag attached to it.
