We've MOVED!!!!
                ________________________

Just recently, we moved yet AGAIN.
We moved 5 houses down from the previous house and this time we moved on a nice day...no snow and no extreme heat.
The issue with this house - it needs to be fully renovated.  Last house was completely updated and I loved it, so I am using that house a guide as to what I want, especially in the kitchen.

We've been in the new place for just over a month and I thought by now we'd have new cabinets and flooring...NOPE.
And, that's a very big NOPE!

We've spent hours in appliance stores, home improvement stores, cabinet stores and flooring stores. We are almost ready to order cabinets and this is what I learned so far:  prices from store to store are SO incredibly different and the mark up is insane.
It reminds me of buying a car...they start out lieing and get more honest as you go along.
As I was sitting here typing, I came up with a brilliant idea.
I'll blog about our first ever renovation!

I started this blog "Splash, Mash & Pound"
to record training for our first and only half ironman triathlon.
So, now we'll switch gears (no pun intended)
and blog about our first time renovating a house.

"SPLASH" will no longer signify the SWIM portion of the triathlon, it now signifies  PLUMBING renovations and ALL THINGS WATER  - sinks, under the sink, toilets, and even water leaks, etc.

"MASH" will no longer signify the BIKE portion of the triathlon, it now signifies any INJURIES we receive or MISTAKES we make during our renovation.  'Mashing' our finger with a hammer, 'mashing' the drywall in a place we weren't supposed to, etc.

"POUND" will no longer signify the RUN portion of the triathlon, it now signifies the actual WORK WE ARE DOING..."pounding" the pavement, "pounding" a hammer, and/or our "pounding" headaches, etc.
