It's time to vent!!! MASH ALERT!

I'm a LOWES hater today!

Rented a wood floor sander today at Lowes (tried Home Depot first, but they were too busy and we couldn't wait our turn).   I had to sign a document that said they'd charge us a fee if we did not bring the sander back clean.
Got the sander home and the contractor finished up other stuff before he needed to sand.

So....At 3:30pm the installer gets the sander ready to go and and finds the bag completely full.
He was SO mad mostly because they made such a big deal of bringing it back clean.  He called the manager at Lowes and all we could do was bring the dirty bag back to get a new one.
So guess who was elected to do that job?

Bag AFTER the manager dumped out the dirt.
Here's the unserviced sander.  It looks like it's from 1980.

I ask for a manager at Lowes and as I'm waiting for him to come to the front, the installer calls me and tells me that the sand paper won't stick to the pads on the bottom because they are so filled with dust.  He asks me to tell the manager to just take the pads off the other machine that was there this morning.

I tell the manager when I see him about the dirty bag and the pads on the bottom so we walk to the sander area and of course they are all rented.

There's nothing can do. He said he'd give me a refund...well, duh!  That's a no brainer, but I told him I would like compensation for this inconvenience (I am paying an installer that has to stop working due to the machine not being serviced correctly). Then he said a 'vender' services their machines, so he would make a call.  He gave me his card and next time I am there I need to contact him for a discount of some sort.

Lowes was a 2nd choice to rent from, but now it's a NEVER choice.
NOTE TO SELF and OTHERS:
Don't rent machines at LOWES.

UPDATE on 12/28/14:  this entire event was a gift from God.
I still won't rent tools from Lowes, but having the sander unserviced so it stopped our project for a few days was a blessing (more explained on the 12/28/14 post).
