FRIDGE
The fridge was installed by the appliance company which was nice, however the first fridge had two dents in it. They said they would fix it and I said, "NO...I'm declining this fridge". I just had a bad feeling about it for some reason. It also had to do with the fact it was delivered out of a box when the rest of the appliances were in a box. They said they take off the box before they deliver, however I just wasn't sure.
When they delivered the 2nd fridge, it came without a box too, but no handles were installed and there was more wrapping on the box. I asked them if they always deliver without a box and they said, "yes, but they do not apply the handles because it's harder to transport without the handles". Then I asked them if they believe I got a floor model because the handles were on and they said, "yes".
I was NOT happy....and now know why I had a weird feeling about it.
Bad business practice I think...and I'm still not happy about it. But worse is that this stupid fridge is SO loud. They've been out to see if it's broken 3 times and it's still very loud. I might be exchanging this fridge, but I'm running out of energy to fight these battles nonstop.
OVEN
Where we live, appliance companies do not install appliances, however will give you a name of a partner company that does.
I'm sure they get a cut of the price because each appliance cost $125 and up. EACH!!!!
Most people buy one appliance at a time, so I can understand them charging a "service fee" along with the installation fee, but they will only be coming to my house one time, but installing multiple appliances, so I thought my price should be less. They said they'd take 5% off. NO THANK YOU!
Rick talked to a friend that has installed before and they did it together....cha ching!
We finally worked up the nerve to turn on the oven.
