Now to pick the tile size.
The choices: 3x8, 3x12, 4x10 & 4x12

Back to sizes.....3x8 is too close to 3x6 which is the typical subway tile and brick size. I'm throwing out the 3x8 and liking the 3x12 alot. Longer rectangles are trending right now and it's good to be trending and not "out" the minute you put it up.
4x10 and 4x12's are looking a little too large and there's not very many of them under the cooktop. Not to mention, I imagine the tile setter will have to be more careful setting a larger tile so it looks centered and good under the cooktop area.
What do I know???? I'm guessing here.
I think 3x12's are the winner!!!!
