What size tile?????

Now to pick the tile size.
The choices:  3x8, 3x12, 4x10 & 4x12

Here are some drawings on the corner wall:
3x8 on left; 3x12 on right
Please excuse the mess on the side...I was too lazy to move it.
4x10 on left; 4x12 on right
Here are some drawings on the cooktop wall:
3x8 on top; 3x12 on bottom

4x10 on top; 4x12 on bottom
If you want to see all the pictures larger, click on the first one and the rest will pop up larger too. It might be easier to see the differences of size on the paper better when the pic is bigger.

Back to sizes.....3x8 is too close to 3x6 which is the typical subway tile and brick size.  I'm throwing out the 3x8 and liking the 3x12 alot.  Longer rectangles are trending right now and it's good to be trending and not "out" the minute you put it up.

4x10 and 4x12's are looking a little too large and there's not very many of them under the cooktop. Not to mention, I imagine the tile setter will have to be more careful setting a larger tile so it looks centered and good under the cooktop area.
What do I know???? I'm guessing here.

I think 3x12's are the winner!!!!
What do you think?
